Making a Difference: A Year of Impact at the Council of Community Services

As we near the end of 2023, the Council of Community Services is proud to have supported so many in our community thanks to the support of our generous donors and compassionate community members.

In over 55 years of caring for our local community, the Council of Community Services has probably touched the life of someone you know. As we approach the end of the year, we humbly ask for your support to continue this important work. Our goal is to raise an additional $85,000 by the end of the year.

Here are some of the key achievements we’ve made in 2023:

  • Served over 15,000 meals through our Soup Kitchen program, ensuring that community members had access to nourishing food during challenging times.
  • Extended support to more than 2,000 individuals through our Food Pantry, including nearly 600 children and a significant number of military veterans, ensuring that they had access to essential food supplies.
  • Provided temporary shelter to over 350 residents experiencing homelessness, offering a safe and secure environment for those in need of immediate assistance and support.
  • Offered assistance to numerous families and individuals seeking long-term affordable housing solutions, promoting stability and security for those striving to rebuild their lives.

In a community where more than 14% of children and 14.3% of senior citizens live below the poverty line, the need for housing and food programs is more important than ever. Together, let's continue making a meaningful impact in our community.
