“Bringing people off the streets and into safety is how I got started in this line of work. I love being able to see our clients progress, build confidence, and meet their goals. I started with the Council in 2015 as the Program Director. I now face new challenges -that keep me on my toes- as the Executive Director. I love my work at CCS because we are genuinely trying to help people out of poverty regardless of age, gender, race, or background. I’ve made great friends and the best part is that I get to watch those friends use their talents to change lives.”

“I’ve been at the Council since 2016 and I really enjoy it because there’s such a great atmosphere here. We all get along so well and laugh a lot! Originally from the Boston area of Massachusetts, my husband and I now own a small ranch where we care for our cows, horses and 4 dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and running.”

Kindness is doing what you can, where you can with what you have”, is my favorite quote and is something I try to live by. I am new to Gillette, Wyoming and the Council of Community Service. My hope is to bring my kindness and spunk to both. Born & raised in Nebraska, I am forever a Corn Husker fan. Number seven of twelve children I know the value of hard work and enjoying life.

“I have been with the Council since 2006! I am the Housing Programs Manager, which means I oversee the Emergency Shelter, Apartments for Families, and Apartments for Individuals. I love to see our clients succeed, it’s why I enjoy working at CCS. I am also very involved with the Wyoming Homeless Collaborative and currently serve as the Collaborative Board’s Vice-Chair. When I’m not at work I enjoy my garden and many pets. I originally shared my home with 1 dog and 2 cats, but now house 3 dogs and 2 cats. In my spare time, I am working towards certification as a dog trainer.”

“I’m the housing case manager here at the Council and can say I have been pleasantly surprised with how much Gillette has to offer those in need. I love meeting with clients and hearing their stories so I know the best ways to help them. I’ve lived in many places, but Gillette will always be home. I have a criminal justice background and received my bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University. I have a deep passion for psychology and all things strange or creepy. I’m an adventurer at heart and working at the Council has been one of my favorite adventures so far.”

“I’ve been with the Council for 10 years! I have worked as the Intake Specialist for the Food Pantry, and now I manage Emergency Assistance funding and am the Section 8 Intake Agent for Campbell County. I really enjoy helping people who are struggling and working to better their situation. Plus I work with a wonderful team who makes work fun! When I’m not at work I like to go to the lake or the mountains to enjoy camping and fishing.”

"I love that my job is a part of giving back to the community. I have been a part of the CCS family since August of 2019. Being able to work someplace that provides so many different services that help the community is very rewarding and I consider it a blessing. I’m originally from the small town of Worland, Wyoming and outside of work you can find me enjoying time with my family or in a quiet place reading."

“I’m originally from Gettysburg, SD – “where the battle wasn’t”. I’ve lived in Virginia, Texas, and Pennsylvania, but have called Wyoming home for the last 40 years! Here in Gillette, I was the Greenhouse (Group Home) Manager for the Council of Community Services until it closed and since I have worked in the office doing a variety of programs and projects. I enjoy the work that I do! I feel like I make a difference in people’s lives and I love seeing people’s lives change. Over time you can always see people change and improve. When I’m not working, I love to travel and see different places. I’m active in my church and have been part of Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Wright for 22 years. My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters live here in town and I enjoy spending free time with them.”

“I grew up in Gillette but then spent 25 years away, living in 5 different states, before returning “Home”. I found my calling when I began working for the Council at the Greenhouse Group Home and have since began working in the Main Office. It is so rewarding to help people who often just need a helping hand, to give them renewed hope and a smile! I also enjoy working with all the wonderful people that I am able to call my work family. When I leave the Council, I like to spend time with my family playing games, watching movies, getting rejuvenated in nature or cheering at my favorite past time - demolition derbies! Lounging with my cat, Aquarius, is the best way to wind down my days of work and play.”

“I am the Weatherization Administrative Assistant at CCS meaning I do all the behind the scenes work for the Weatherization team. I absolutely love my job and the WAP program because I love helping others! I have been a recipient of this service in the past, so I know how big of an impact we are making in the lives of our clients. We provide weatherization services to LIEAP clients to make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient, at no cost to them. I am a Wyoming native but a Gillette transplant. I moved here from Sheridan in 2003 and graduated from CCHS soon after. I met my amazing husband in Gillette and we have 2 wonderful teenagers. I graduated from Gillette College in 2015 with an associate degree in Business. When I am not working, I am very active in my church and love spending time with my family. My hobbies include hosting dinner/game nights with my family and friends, cooking/baking, and going on fun adventures.”

My crew and I take great pride in the work we do! We enjoy helping people and providing a great service to those in need. Outside of work I like to hunt, fish, travel, do yard work, and spend time with family, friends, and my two small and adorable dogs!”

I am the Way Station Program Supervisor for Homeless Shelter, a member of the Wyoming Homeless Advisory Council and the Secretary for Board of the Wyoming Continuum of Care. Recently, I won a scholarship to the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) National Conference and Capitol Hill Day in Washington DC and I am hoping to bring back some fresh ideas.
Working with the Amazing Leadership and Staff here at the CCS has been a saving grace for me. Having survived homelessness myself, I understand what that experience is like for individuals and families. as they are facing housing insecurities. I had never heard the term "lived Experience" let alone valued for my experiences in the darkest time of my life. It was one of those topics "We don't talk about”. I am very passionate about helping others re-discover their value while facing some of those same struggles. If I can, You can! Outside of all of that I am very blessed to have rebuilt a relationship with my children, grandchildren and extended family. I enjoy traveling, arts and crafts, outdoors, gardening and my trusty side kick Beau Dog, an Australian Shepard, who has been with me for several years and keeps me grounded.
